Mission
We strive to promote and support
the development of businesses
among India, Portugal and their
overseas communities, by nurturing
the spirit of cooperation among
entrepreneurs, enterprises,
organizations and governments.
PIBHub is a non-profit portuguese organization built to support this purpose.
It began to be forged in 2016, when the Ambassador of India in Portugal, Mrs. K. Nandini Singh, was preparing the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) 2017, which is celebrated annually to mark the contribution of Indian communities abroad in India’s development. To support this process, Ambassador Mrs. K. Nandini Singh invited Dr. Abdool Vakil, the first Portuguese Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awardee. Consequently, the Governments of India and of Portugal, joined efforts to prepare the PBD 2017, during which the Prime-Minister of Portugal, Dr. António Costa, would be honored with the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award.
Aiming to strengthen the new page in the relation between India and Portugal, Ambassador Mrs. K. Nandini Singh invited Mr. Altino Álvares to organize the Indian Portuguese business delegation to join on the PBD 2017 official journey. During this process, having a global vision over the overseas potential of the two countries, the PIBHub started to bloom, dedicated to support and to strengthen corporate and institutional relationships between the two countries.
PIBHub was launched in April 2017 during the bilateral government work between Portugal and India. Writing a new page on multi-lateral relations among Portugal, India, and their overseas communities.
As of today, we are present in Portugal and India.
